peanut butter, oatmeal, chocolate chip cookies



3 eggs
1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (12-ounce) jar creamy peanut butter
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal (not instant)


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or silpat liner.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugars. Mix well. Add the salt, vanilla, peanut butter, and butter. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips, baking soda, and oatmeal. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake about 10 minutes. Do not overbake. Let stand for about 3 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool. When cool, store in large resealable plastic bags.

candy cane cookies



Mix:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sifted conf. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Divide in half. Dye one half red. Roll and cut into four inch strips, and intertwine. Bake on 375 degrees for 9 minutes. Do not double.

1 cup butter
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour

mis together. drop in small balls on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes. Frost when cool; 3 oz cream cheese, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 drop red food coloring.

Aunt Marys Sugar Cookies



Combine:
1 cup sugar
1/2 margarine ( not butter)
Add:
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Bake 375-400 degrees for 6-7 minutes. Do not let bottoms brown.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or grated peel of 1 orange
  • 3 cups quick or old-fashioned oats
  • 1 2/3 cups (11-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Butterscotch Morsels
Directions: PREHEAT oven to 375° F. COMBINE flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats and morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. BAKE for 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies or 9 to 10 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
