chicken spaghetti

i love reading step-by-step recipes. i check p-dub every single day to see if she has anything new for me to try. she is just damn funny and her food is always delicious. i grew up loving this dish and when i decided to make it today i thought i would show all of you exactly how its done! i hope you enjoy it!
ingredients: 12oz spaghetti noodles, 1 rotisserie chicken, 1 large onion, 1 1/2 t garlic salt, 1 stick butter, 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can cream of chicken, 1 chicken bullion cube, 1 small can sliced mushrooms, 1 small can pimentos, 1/2 can sliced black olives, 1 small can green chilies, 2 cups grated cheddar cheese and 8oz jalapeno "cheese whiz" ( or if you live in a small town like me, you get the regular cheese whiz and throw some diced jalapenos in the mix).

preheat oven to 350 degrees.

start by boiling the noodles in with water and the bullion cube. my grandmother would cook the chicken herself and boil the noodles in the broth, but i'm a cheater. and this works. and while you are waiting for that, get to choppin.

go ahead and chop the whole onion and throw it in a pan to saute. if your store doesn't have pimentos ( like mine) then chop one roasted red pepper in its place. how upset my grandmother would be if she knew there weren't pimentos in utah.

then throw in the green chilies and a stick of butter and saute on medium. you don't want the onions to be crisp, but keep in mind that this is going to go in the oven, so it doesn't have to be perfect.

at this point the noodles should be done. set them aside with the chicken that you have chopped.

now dump all of the remaining ingredients, saving the cheese, into a pot and stir until smooth.
mix into the noodles and chicken.

put into a 9x13 pan and cover with foil. cook at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

pull it out of the oven and top with cheese. then stick it back in the oven, this time without foil.

in 10-12 minutes it will look like this. delicious.
