
i am normally not a sloppy joe person but my friend lisa gave me this recipe and it is fabulous and not at all not the thing you think of when you hear "sloppy joes." give them a try...
6 chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 ½ cups sour cream
2 packages town house crackers, crushed
½ cup butter, melted
1 Tbsp poopy seeds
Spread cooked chicken pieces evenly in 9x13 pan. Mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream. Pour over chicken. Mix crushed crackers, butter, and poppy seeds together and sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Mix and put into dish
1 ½ lb ground beef
½ cup tomato sauce
1 ½ tsp salt
½ onion chopped ( mom substitutes with minced onion)
1 egg, beaten
¼ tsp pepper
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
Combine and pour over loaf
½ cup tomato sauce
2 Tbsp mustard
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 cup hot water
2 Tbsp vinegar
Bake for at least one hour in 350 degree oven.
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 8-oz package of cream cheese, softened (I found fat free at Safeway, which I think is Vons everywhere else...)
1 packet Zesty Italian dressing mix
Pour this mixture over the top of four pieces of chicken.
Cook:
4 hours on low (if chicken is thawed) Change accordingly if you want on high or frozen chicken.
